Yes, you can transfer fractional shares between your Investor’s Edge accounts, just like whole shares. However, if you hold whole shares, you can only transfer those in whole numbers.
For example, if you hold 10 shares, you can only transfer whole share quantities. On the other hand, if you hold 10.3 shares, you can transfer any fractional amount between your accounts.
If you want to move fractional shares to another financial institution or brokerage, you'll need to sell the fractional shares first, then transfer the resulting cash proceeds. Standard commission rates may apply when you sell.
