Tax-Free Savings Accounts (TFSA)

A Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) is a flexible savings plan that allows you to save for short- or long-term goals. When you contribute to a TFSA, your investments grow tax-free within the account and you won’t be taxed even when you withdraw funds. Eligible TFSA investments include equities, mutual funds, ETFs, cash, GICs, bonds and more.

Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF)

A CIBC Investor's Edge RRIF lets you take control of your retirement with a variety of investment options, including equities, fixed income products, GICs and mutual funds.

Additional retirement income accounts include Life Income Funds (LIF), Locked-In RIFs (LRIF) and Prescribed RIFs (PRIF).

Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

When you save for your child’s future post-secondary education with an RESP, you may also benefit from government grants, paid on eligible contributions. Income earned within the account grows tax-free until funds are withdrawn to pay for post-secondary education expenses.
