Transfer/Fund Your Account

Funding your CIBC Investor's Edge account has never been simpler. We've listed a number of ways to move money and/or investments in or out of your account.

Single Sign On

Move freely and transfer funds between your CIBC Online Banking account(s) and your CIBC Investor's Edge account(s) with one single login ID and password.

Account Transfer of Securities from another financial institution

To transfer an investment portfolio into your CIBC Investor's Edge account, you will need the following forms:

• Investment Account transfer form

To transfer a Registered Portfolio (TFSA, RRSP, RRIF, RESP, etc.) into your CIBC Investor's Edge account, you will need the following forms:

• RRSP transfer form
• RESP transfer form

Things to remember when transferring an account:

• Select "IN KIND" on your transfer form agreement if you want to move your account over "As Is," (i.e., in its current form as cash and/or securities held in the account).
• Select IN CASH on your transfer form agreement if you want to redeem all of your current holdings and transfer its value over in "Cash".

You can transfer an account either in full, or as a partial transfer. If you are selecting a partial transfer, you must specify exactly which security, and the quantity of that security, on the transfer form itself.

To facilitate the process, attach a current copy of your account statement to your transfer form.
