How do I Sign On?

Enter your CIBC Investor's Edge User ID in the User ID box. Next, enter your Password in the applicable box. You may specify which section of this website you start in, following sign on, by making a selection from the drop-down box beside "Start In." Click on the "Sign On" button to complete sign on to this website. Note: Passwords are numeric and must be six to 12 digits. The "Save User ID" feature allows you to bypass the need to type in your User ID each time you log in; this may be helpful if you always login from the same computer. Another convenient capability, Single sign on, enables you to login once for both your CIBC Investor's Edge and CIBC Online Banking account. If you have not yet set up this feature, consider doing so today.

Can I change my PVQs?

You can also change your PVQs any time after you sign on. Select the User Preferences link on the left of our website and then select "Personal Verification Questions" link from the expanded list. Follow on-screen instructions to change your PVQs.

Why do I occasionally receive a timeout message when using the online service?

To maintain the security of your account, CIBC Investor's Edge invokes a session time-out if there has been an extended period of inactivity while you were logged in to your account. This is to prevent other individuals from gaining access to your account if you happen to walk away from your computer during an active session.

Why do I sometimes get the message "Your connection has been interrupted. Please re-enter your password, then click on the Sign On button" when I try to sign on?

If you leave your session inactive for an extended period you will be timed out. The next time you try to sign on you will receive this message. Simply click OK and re-enter your password.

Why did you revise the CIBC Electronic Access Agreement?

We last revised the agreement in March 2007.

How do I agree to the revised agreement?

By using CIBC Online Banking or CIBC Wealth Management online accounts, you agree to be bound by the revised agreement. Please review the full text of the revised agreement, available through the "Agreements" link at the bottom of most pages.
